OH JACKIE! YOU’RE JUST LOVELY

Our newest Skoon. devotee and fan club cheerleader is Jackie Burger, high priestess of style, former Elle SA Editor, and now the beautiful creative mind  behind Salon 58 soirees – those fashion, trend and beauty networking parties that happen in Stellenbosch. (It’s true. Missies fly down from Joburg and all over, for a slice of the fun.)

This Saturday 15 August, Skoon. will be sharing the love at Jackie’s pre-Spring fling, a soiree aptly named ‘Lovely’. Showcasing our wonderful aromas and natural skincare joys alongside creative shakers like Blomboy, floral artiste Alwjin Burger, and co.

After calling herself ‘Your biggest fan’, we asked Jackie what she loves about Skoon., now that she’s given it a go.

JB: Nkuto Butter. The ritual of warming a dollop of nourishing cleansing butter in your hand and massaging it into your skin; intuitively grasping the benefits of the oils penetrating, cleansing and simultaneously stimulating circulation. And then of course there’s the final action of the perfectly heated muslin cloth wiping away any residue in the gentlest manner.

She also loves two special 2 concentrates, Skoon. Glowdrops and Skoon. Rosehip C +

JB: ‘Added nourishment has always been at the very core of my skin care routine and specifically now, for ageing and post menopausal skin care. It leaves my skin glowing and velvety. The results are immediately visible and my skin thanks me a million times over with a visible radiance!’

On the topic of moisturisers, which product makes her skin do a backward flip?

JB: ‘Skoon. Double Thick Cream. The name is indulgent and luxurious and says it all. Mixed with a concentrate, it is skincare Nirvana.’

We couldn’t have said it better. Looking forward to meeting Jackie and friends at Soiree No.4, in the flesh.

As salonnière and host, Jackie Burger is the connector and style advisor behind shared creative experiences and personal conversations. The idea behind ‘Lovely’ is to have some fun discovering your personal handwriting, look and style, in a gallery space adorned with pre-Spring artistry.
